Going green? How about an Eco-friendly lunch box?

School may be out, but before you know it, it will be fall and you'll be scrambling to get the last minute lunch box, paying an arm and a leg for something that will be "out" next season so you'll just have to buy another the following year. And baggies, don't forget the hundreds of plastic baggies you'll use. I have discovered an Eco-friendly lunch box for kids (and adults) of all ages. The Easy Lunchbox . I have 6 kids. I was wasting tons of plastic baggies packing their lunches every day, oh and the hubby as well. Tons. I was ashamed, the money I was throwing away on lunch boxes, baggies...It sickens me to know how much I could have saved.
From The Easy Lunchbox website
Supporting the waste-free lunch movement, EasyLunchboxes.com offers a reusable, superior solution at a much lower price than other companies.
Great for large families and those on a limited budget.
FDA approved. No BPA, phthalates, lead, vinyl, or PVC. Safe for dishwasher and microwave. The simple chic design and bright colors of our Cooler Bags can even be personalized!
Our Easy Lunchbox cooler includes a sturdy grommet in the carrying handle so you can easily attach a pretty key ring, dietary restrictions warning tag, or your choice of any type of handcrafted or store bought “flair.” Examples HERE
Our Cooler Bags are made of the highest quality 300D Polyester for premium durability and toughness. Vinyl free (PVC free) & lead free, with an FDA compliant PEVA lining.

This is Phil's lunch for tomorrow. See how much it holds? He's got cucumbers and carrots, a mixed spring salad with raspberry vinegarette, mandrin oranges, raisins, walnuts and a hard boiled egg. For dessert he has a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing. Normally I would be learly of placing an egg with his dessert, but the lid completely separates the food and none touch or even smell like anything else he's having. (yes, that's little heart cucumbers, I love bentos and garnishing but I have to subtly put them in Phil's lunches or he says it's too girly)
Cool huh? I love mine. The kids claimed a colored lid and I can make lunches, or even snacks, and according to the lid color, I know who's is whos and what they do and don't like. Phillip even takes one to work for his lunch. Container in the bottom of the cooler bag, add a banana and his water bottle (nalgene...see, I am going green), he's good to go. The cooler bag can even hold 3 containers at once, great for car rides or the park for a picnic. And, because I love ya'll so much, Easy Lunchboxes is going to send one of my readers one set of their own. 4 containers with 4 different colored lids and a cooler bag in the winners choice of color.

To have your chance at winning one all you have to do is the following...

mandatory...go to Easy Lunchboxes and tell me something you learned about them that I haven't already mentioned.

I would love to win the lunch box and cooler bag, in the red. I pack my husband's lunch every day and this would make it so handy. I learned they are microwavable

that they can be put in a dishwasher

I learned that they can be put in the dishwasher - and save time by only having one lid for each instead of 3 separate ones. It also helps with watching out for portion levels. That way, overeating is better prevented.

I learned their containers are FDA-approved for microwave use. They are made with the highest grade polypropylene plastic (#5), a plastic that does not leach any BPA or Phthalates when heated or cooled.

I love that they give you lunch ideas. What a nice idea. Sometimes it is just so hard not to put the same thing in day after day. Love it!

I learned this "EasyLunchbox containers are made from FDA-approved, food-safe polypropylene (#5). They are the perfect mid-range quality between the low-cost disposable containers you find in the market, and the high-end permanent containers (like Tupperware)."

I learned, AND LOVED that they're all stackable... I have the dreaded tupperware cupboard, where when you open it a ton of loose lids come falling out... but they still never seem to match the bottoms... stacking ='s GREAT!!
